The Rising Sun Experience chose their name as a homage to Jimi Hendrix for his major music influence in funk and rock music. While the roots of this Portuguese collective go back to 2006, their music is not just a revival of their main influences, such as Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Can, Stockhausen, Miles Davis electronic phase, Led Zeppelin or the aforementioned Hendrix. The Rising Sun Experience is more about pushing the psychedelic progressive heavy rock culture a step further into the new millennium!
