In Astrology, I wanted to make each song different, but still very compact, keeping the voice as the central point, and I think in the end this idea worked quite well. Not only genre-wise, but also by the sound and messages I wish to get through. The song Astrology follows two story lines or two dimensions. One is the obvious, a love dilemma with no ‘winner’ and the other one is more profound and spiritual, it speaks of a whole world of above and beyond influencing us in who we are. The latter sets the whole nature of the album, a world built around it. Going deeper into who we are and even deeper in the relationships with people in our lives. The album deals with topics such as loyalty (Not Today), arrogance and misbehaviour (What Goes Around), our inner dilemma and questions of the self (Astrology), love in its purest form (Everything I need) or adorance (Floating), but also explains that limitation is the main reason of an unsuccessful relationship (Fish Bowl), or just has some fun with irony (Disco). I am especially proud of the wonderful graphic work that has been done by visual artist Sona Jurikovicova, I think it add a creative touch. All in all, it took us a long time to complete Astrology in the form as it is and I really hope and wish that it will make you smile, cry, laugh or just be a nice companion at any time... V.
