Tyrone Davis had been a prolific recording artist and hit maker for many years when he signed to the major CBS Corporation in 1976. Tyrone struggled to get a hit in the mid 60's until DJ's caught on to the B-side of his single "Can I Change My Mind?. This soon took off across the country and the disc soared to No. 3 on the US pop charts and three weeks at No. 1 on the R&B chart.
