Eight tracks of droning, isolationist, glacial ambient, resounding, crushing, static and dark as the polar night. Ghostly and almost imperceptible sound reflections in the infinite cold desert. The album was created as a soundscape for the artist's cousin, a former sailor and conqueror of the Arctic, upon discovery of 8mm film footage of his voyages on the first atomic icebreaker ship "Arktika" in the mid-20th Century. This edition contains a bonus video CD of one of the first polar expeditions. Limited to 200 hand-numbered copies in a stunning gatefold digisleeve.
