16 years since her last album in 1995, Paquita is back as a recording artist releasing album ASA (2011) with the talented Rishanda Singgih, as the Music Producer. Rishanda is also known as the bassist for DREW. 'Asa' is a compliation of cover songs by Indonesian popular artists and song writers in the 70s - 90s with a 'new twist' of chillout arrangements. 'I had so much fun working on this album, especially working with a young talent such as Rishanda who brought a new contemporary twist to the songs that I used to listen to when I was growing up which are almost unheard of by todays generation ' said Paquita. 'Asa' which means time in Indonesian, hopefully can be the bridge for the generation gap between the 70s-90s to the now generation. 'I want to introduce these amazing old songs where the lyrics were so poetically beautiful, meaningfull and filled with emotions' she says. The release of this album was marked by the launch of the first single 'Sudikah Kamu' written by Andy Julius & Ipey that was made popular by Roni Sianturi in 1994.
