The group was formed by lead singer, song writer and producer Lawrence Johnson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Benjamin Howard and Dennis Gordon, of Atlanta, Georgia. The group was form under a different name previously, but soon changed the name under the direction of the Holy Spirit.
