But following Ozzy Osbourne’s sacking in 1979, the group lost their momentum, while Ozzy as a solo artist became one of
the world’s biggest stars. Now with three original members – including the bat muncher himself - back recording together
and planning a world tour, the group have come full circle as they illustrate to many of the new upstarts exactly what it means to be a rock band. Black Sabbath – The Lowdown is a two-disc set that charts the amazing journey that first begun with four young residents of Aston in Birmingham, creating a legacy that to this day, continues to grow. By way of an audio-biography, disc one chronicles the highs and the lows of Sabbath’s long and illustrious career, whilst disc two features a selection of interviews from across the years with their iconic lead singer Ozzy Osbourne. Together, they provide a fascinating insight into life in one of the world’s most legendary bands.
