A MAN ON A MISSION TO CREATE A CONGLOMERATE...one fan at a time. Brains, body, and big dreams are just a few of the qualities that make Da Mike Man a force to be reckoned with. Born in Norfolk, Virginia but a native of Brooklyn, New York, music has been an essential element of his life. Even when he joined the Army, he continued to live vicariously through his music making it a staple and a survival guide until his time on active duty ended. After he left the military, despite numerous professions nothing could replace his desire for music. From a small studio in Norfolk during the late 1990’s, he wrote and performed hits such as “Benz Roll Up”, “Mike BigMah”, and “Everybody”. From 2000 on, his collection included successful albums such as “Free Money”, “Free Money II”, and “New Look” which produced the “Look at Hurr”, “Who Got Mo” and “From Hampton Roads” – all of which received airplay from multiple radio stations well before the launch of his career. Wow! Talk about raw talent and a success looming in the wings! As if that wasn’t enough, he brought us “Toast 2 Da Future” in 2010 signaling his hunger and drive for success through the title of his song (the hits just keep on coming). While residing in Atlanta, he was featured multiple times in Entertainment Underground Magazine and performed at the Sketchworks Theater. Although music is at the forefront of his life, he always manages to make time for his fans and the community. He served as Assistant Coach for an 8th grade middle school football team (the Junior Warriors) in Georgia proving that he’s not just one dimensional. He provided mentorship and leadership, not only about football but also aspects of life. On June 29, 2011, he scored a major interview with “Uncle Jam” and “DJ Rude” of Planet Rock Radio (an internet radio station). Many of his songs were featured leading up to the interview which can be located on ustream.tv or Facebook page “The Brooklyn Basement”.
