Popis - VINE CONNECTION:
All songs written, arranged and produced by Vine Connection, except 'Word of God Speak' by Pete Kipley and Bart Millard. Vine Connecton is a Christian rock band in NE Ohio. To pinpoint where we are, the Football Hall of Fame is probably the central point to where we all live. This is Vine Connection's first release. It has been a project that is a long time coming. The songs on this CD range from a nice laid back blues style 'Word' to a bombastic rock n roll worship song 'Our Lord, Our God'. Each song tries to have its own personality. The members of VC have a tendency to like a range of music from country, big band to progressive heavy metal so you never know what may show up in a song stylistically. When writing there has never been a goal of writing to sound like this group or such instead letting the spirit guide the way both musically and lyrically. A brief deion of songs: 'Our Lord, Our God' is a groove feeling song in 5/4 that opens up in the chorus to declare whom we worship. VC's prog background shows up in the middle instrumental. 'ISee Better Now' is a song about our spiritual growth, from the intro of children singing to the aggressive ending stating 'I see better now' it details our inner struggles as we go through this life journey we are on. 'Word' is our laid back blues groove and is pretty straight forward as is the title; focus = the Word of God. 'Emmaus Road' is best thought of as a mid tempo southern rocker including slide guitar solo. This is a song about an amazing walk with someone they knew much better then they realized. 'Forgiveness' is probably along the lines of a classic rock song with a lil country feel thrown in. Title says it all; you want to be more like Jesus, learn about giving and receiving forgiveness. That simple act will give more to your life then you realize. 'Word of God Speak' is the only cover song on the CD. VC has played this at a local homeless shelter for years along with playing it for many worship services at local churches. Funny thing is 3/4 of the band never actually heard the original recording hence the different take. The members of Vine Connection thanks you for taking a listen and hopes this touches you as it has touched us as we have written and recorded it. Why the name 'Vine Connection'? It was taken from the ure John 15:5 - 'I am the vine, you are the branches.' Look us up on Facebook and Reverbnation.
