The Univerzals, founded as side project by 2 members of the Danish ORESUND SPACE COLLECTIVE here with their debut album. With a firm mix of psychedelic space rock and ska-rhythms they show the ambition to span several genres and interests. The Cd includes a hidden bonus track were they show their strongest possible sound. There they are a rock band, a psychedelic band, a heavy band, and a well arranged band where they show all sorts of aspects at once. The first few tracks now and then use a ska-rhythm influence, and a bit of brass arrangements, its pop/rocky, from heavier to relaxed with an overall good indierock sound. Occasionally their approach heads towards the Swedish progressive pop/rock bands. If you dig ska-flavoured spacey psychedelic rock then this is for you!
