'The London American Label Year By Year - 1965'. This CD-compilation offers a look at 28 of the great records that came out on the UK's London American label during 1965.
As the label issued 73 records that year, what's been chosen represents more than a third of the label's complete '65 output. The label's story is told via records largely digitally unavailable until now. Some of the best-remembered records of the era are heard here, along with some of the most obscure. Many of the tracks feature sound from the original tapes and are thus presented in glorious mono, the way your parents (or maybe even grandparents) heard them on their transistor radio's!
