Bursting out from the norwegian underground, DJEVEL was born in 2009 when T. Ciekals decided to leave Lja and form his own band. As the main songwriter, he still needed qualified musicians to complete the band, and E. Hjelvik (Kvelertak, vocals) and Mannevond (Koldbrann/Urgehal, bass) joined to form the band which in the spring of 2011 completed the debut album "Dodssanger". Expect a Devilish Norwegian outburst, infected with a melodic darkness. The album comes in a neat packaging with artwork made by Truls Espedal, known for his work with Enslaved.
