'Higgler Move' is a great track voiced for Jammy, issued in 1983. Utilizing his own version of the Waterhouse vocal style, Reid is in full storytelling mode, singing of the trials and tribulations facing Jamaican market women on a daily basis, and tactics they inevitably employ to survive. Flip the disc for 'Youthman', a great 1980 reality tune from Noel Phillips in a singing style somewhat reminiscent of Barrington Levy. A few years later, he would morph into a sing-jay under the moniker, Echo Minott. Both tracks come complete with killer Jammy
dub portions, and 'Youthman' has an uncredited toasting section as well, mixed in split-channel stereo. Crucial!
