Thanks to a string of recent reissues the obscure '70s rock scene of Zambia became popular amongst collectors of wild and fuzzy psychedelic sounds. Here's another great title for fans of Zamrock bands s.a. Amanaz, Musi-O-Tunya, Witch, Ngozi Family and The Peace. Salty Dog was a trio (moulded after the Jimi Hendrix Experience) whose 1976 s/t LP was the 8th album to be released by the Zambezi label. The music is a fascinating combination of psych rock, folk and blues. The lyrics are all in English.
