'ELECTRONIC MUSICAL IMPRESSIONS OF THE OCCULT' - Reissue of a
noteable 1975 album by the great late Mort Garson (1924-2008),
a pioneer of electronic music, known for groundbreaking works
such as LUCIFER's 'Black Mass' (1971) and THE ZODIAC's 'Cosmic
Sounds' (1967) among others. A different side of his creativity
was showcased by his 1976 'PLANTASIA' project, an album of
classical inspired moog compositions meant for growing plants.
'THE UNEXPLAINED' however is a hypnotizing affair created with
metallic sounding drum loops and colourful synthesizer melodies
influenced by '50s and '60s jazz and exotica, detective soundtracks and psychedelic rock. This album is recommended to
all lovers of experimental 1970s electronics, including CLUSTER
and TANGERINE DREAM, as well as those into Italian horror
scores of those days.
