Edition on 180-gram vinyl, coming in a gatefold sleeve. A psychedelic brand of soul -with hints of funk- and a powerful
vocal style somewhat comparable to Otis Redding. His sole album
(partly recorded with his group The Babysitters) from the early
'70s features producer Curtis Mayfield's 'Hard Times',
'Running', 'Mighty Mighty Children', a surprising instrumental
version of 'California Dreaming', a 9 minute+ cover of Sam
Cooke's 'A Change Is Gonna Come' and more. The late Baby Huey's
sole album (recorded in 1970, released the following year) has
become a sought-after collectors' item among soul and funk
fanatics. But there also is plenty to enjoy for psych heads, especially on Side 2.
