With 2018's full-length 'Monster Receiver', two-piece Hillstomp takes its roots-blues into more experimental territory. The drums and guitar are pushed to the limit on screamers such as 'Hagler' and 'Snake Eagle Blues', while the gentler sounds on tracks like 'Angels' and 'Dayton, Ohio' seem to stop time for a few minutes.
