James Kilbane – River of Grace The River of Grace is the latest album release by Irish gospel and country singer James Kilbane . In this short note James tells about the album and is best explained the story of this album. For quite some time I have wanted to compile an album like this one. For this work I have recorded particular songs and selected some previous recordings in order to create a collection of psalms, hymns, songs and prayers that represent some of the important stages in the unfolding story of the Scriptures and in the development of my own personal Christian faith. The selection captures some of the central moments and key people caught up in the river of God’s grace as it flows through the biblical narrative from Genesis to Revelation. The river of divine love shown to us in its fullness in Christ has not dried up; but it continues to flow around us, into us and through us, transforming our lives and lifting our relationships to a higher level streaming outwards to embrace every human being on the face of the earth. Like the Nile, the Mississippi or the Amazon, it is a life-giving river: it carries away the debris of our sin, cultivates in us integrity, compassion and generosity, and births a love at the heart of all our relationships. In this album we see the river flowing through the patriarch Abraham, some of the Hebrew prophets, the Virgin Mary, and the life and teaching of her son Jesus Christ. They invite us today to step into the same river and experience for ourselves the life-enhancing changes it can bring. Revelation 1:8. 'I am the Alpha and the Omega,' says the Lord God, 'who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.' Revelation 21:6. He said to me: 'It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.
