"Cool Wheels" is the new album of jazz-funk quartet Workout and represents a wide-ranging reflection on black contemporary music and its various forms. The group, originally from Mantua, after exploring the sound more "acoustic" jazz in the first album "Strange Decomposed" (Music Center), has been renewed in "electric" sound / style. Now the organic is : Gabriele Rampi (low, synth, piano), Marcello Abate (guitar), Nicholas Bardini (sax) and Riccardo Bringhenti (drums). The ten original compositions which make up the disc, written by bass player Gabriele Rampi, are in fact a real tribute to the beauty and mystery that characterize the soul and funk from James Brown on.
