Curtis Ousley (born Curtis Montgomery) performed under the stage name King Curtis. He was an American saxophonist known for rhythm & blues, rock & roll, soul, blues, funk and soul jazz. He was a bandleader, band member, session musician, musical director, and record producer. King Curtis had numerous charting albums on the Atco label in the late 1960s and early 1970s. This set contains the albums 'Instant Groove' (1969), featuring Duane Allman and 'Get Ready' (1970) featuring Eric Clapton & Delaney Bramlett.
