'Eden's Island' is an epic conceptual work about a utopian society on a far-away island where people live in peace and harmony. The music itself is at least as interesting, blending relaxed grooves with dreamy vocals, easy swing with Latin, and folk traditions from around the world with more powerful sections. Eden Ahbez, who already had adopted a hippy lifestyle long before the movement existed, is also known for writing the classic song 'Nature Boy' in 1947.
