Popis - FORWARD:
An hour with Club des Belugas ia a wonderful experience and happens roughly like this: The opener is power-swing which raises the roof, then afro beat explosions and funk fireworks, cushioned by wallowing jazz?n?soul, and at the end they pamper you with soul. FORWARD is the 6th album from Club des Belugas. For over 10 years they have been producing contemporary, stylish music in the club and lounge. Swing, jazz, funk, latin, afro and soul styles from all corners of the world and from all eras that are not only used as an inspiration, but developed consequently for todays music tastes. FORWARD keeps moving - in the truest sense of the word - and is funky as hell. Eight singers with different moods appear on the album: Ester Rada from Israel starts the album with soft swinging track "Save a Little Love for Me" (the 1st single release). Benda Boykin (California/USA) is slapping out "Straight to Memphis", where electro swing meets funk meets percussions meets western guitar. A few tracks later on "Dat Thang" she proves that she is also a phantastic Cool Hop and Acid Jazz diva. On "All Aboard" (electro swing) Iain Mackenzie (UK / London) gives a great performance in his jazzy crooner style. He appears also on 3 more tracks. Jen Kearney (Boston/USA) is singing "Forward" the theme track of the album - like a Motown diva. Angel-like anna.luca from Sweden is hovering above everything with her vocals on "Glorious Beach Livin?" "Jojo Effect" singer Anne Schnell (Munich/Germany) appears on the Cha-Cha-Cha-remix of her hit "I Shouldn?t I Wouldn?t" Bajka from Berlin/Germany with an outstanding remix of her phantastic song "The Hunting". It?s a long lasting tradition that you can always find a remix of a "big" vocal track on each Belugas album. In the past there were remixes from Dean Martin, Fred Astaire and Ella Fitzgerald. On Forward it is a remix of Anita O?Day?s 50-ties hit "Peanut Vendor".
