"Artifacts of Life" by Servent marks the first album release on Downstream Records for six years. The work of label owner Damon Vallero under the guise of Servent, it explores the evocative side of electronica juxtaposing jagged digital artifacts with deeper soundscapes to produce a blend of music that might be termed "atmosphonica". Incorporating elements from tech through to spatial, Servent draws from his past, fragmenting and refracting sounds that lie beneath a veil of digital noise. "Artifacts of Life" is a reflection that rarely mirrors the reflected. Damon Vallero is a producer and DJ who has performed across Europe and had his music aired on MTV and the BBC.
