The third album by Icelandic synthpop artist Berndsen, now on vinyl, sees him indulge into a much more relaxed atmosphere than the pop-diva elements we are used to. Ambient and airy tracks fill this album, which is nothing but a blessing. On 'Alter Ego', Berndsen shows a softer side of his work, influenced as he explains by his "marrying and having a baby girl". The special '80s yet modernist vibe that makes up Berndsen's uniqueness is far from gone on this record. It is only embellished by a subtler and dimmer light.
