Paris Violence is a unique group in the French punk scene for the quality of their lyrics and the originality of their music. Formed in 1994 around Flav (guitarist, singer and composer), another exceptional thing is the number of records produced in all formats (LP, CD, EP, 12", 10", 7"). The sound is deliberately raw and violent, often in minor compositions that are reminiscent of some old English Oi!, like Angelic Upstarts, Blitz or Peter & The Test Tube Babies. The texts are distinguished by their desperate nihilism directly influenced by the style of Louis-Ferdinand Céline.
