In 1973 the dictatorship in Chile banned most rock bands and most musicians had to stop or leave the country, the other bands had to play in underground. The dangers of being a rock musician in Chile during this period were very real. The ban extended to the retroactive destruction of many master tapes for many of the albums included here, which has changed beginning of the 1980s. With the following bands: Kissing Spell, Embrujo, Los Jaivas, Los Vidrios Quebrados, Aguaturbia, Los Blops, Sacros, Los Macs, Los Beat 4, Tumulto, Escombres, Congregacion, Congress. Across the seventeen tracks culled from some of the lost treasures of the psychedelic music scene of the seven years period of 1967 to 1973 you can begin to get a picture of the unique quality of Chilean psychedelic music, produced during a time of great cultural change and social turmoil.
