Released in celebration of the Golden Earring's 50th anniversary, the 5-track mini-album 'The Hague' is a homage to the Dutch city from where the band originates. The band was founded in the mid '60s as a fine garage-/beat unit, named the Golden Earrings. At the end of the decade (following a couple of line-up changes) the 's' at the end of the name was dropped, after which the group developed a powerful rock style, resulting is such hits as 'Radar Love', 'Bombay', 'Instant Poetry' and 'When The Lady Smiles', to name but a few. This mini-album on coloured vinyl clearly proves that the Golden Earring still is alive and kicking.

Legendary Dutch Rock band Golden Earring celebrate their Fiftieth Anniversary, and they celebrate in style by releasing a new EP called "The Hague", a homage after the city where the quartet originates from. This mini album contains five
new Rock songs written by Barry Hay, George Kooymans, Rinus
Gerritsen and Cesar Zuiderwijk. The band members describe the
songs as sounding new, but typical Golden Earring.
