Popis - VALLEY OF THE MOON:
'Nor wilt thou of gifts be sparing, Which can ne'er be worse for wearing. Picking wit among collegians, In the playhouse upper regions; Where, in the eighteen-penny gallery, Irish nymphs learn Irish raillery.' Jonathan Swift Flagstaff Arizona based duo of Tom O'Hara and John Tveten have been jamming at venues and on porches from Northern Arizona to Northwest Puerto Rico for over a decade. With both Irish and American roots, their style derives from a passion for diversity and harmony, and is built on 'Raillery', which means 'good natured banter'. Live shows are influenced by which of their talented, revolving band members are in the house. The mood may go from Irish punk, to blues ballads, to wherever the inspiration and energy decides to flow. 'Valley of The Moon' is their first studio album and is true to their 'Irishicana' style. From the Motown influenced 'Closer' to the rock ballad break-up tune 'Paradox', to the nod to the traditional with 'Mountain Tay', Raillery covers a lot of ground while staying well grounded in the vocal and instrumental harmony that is the bands foundation.
