Welcome & thanks for visiting my page! Please leave a comment or stop by my official website and say hello at: www.gabriellesongs.com I have been waiting for the day I could sit down with a pen in hand and describe who I am. Since my thoughts have been bouncing off of the walls all my life, to narrow it down to a sensible page is quite a feat. So here I go... At 22 I have packed more suitcases than the pope, said hello and goodbye more than I care for, & discovered the world really isn't flat. It all started in Denmark where I was born. Soon, the family was off to Switzerland, Czech Republic, England, Germany and finally California. In those years of traveling I met intelligent, wise, lovable and strange people, & fell in love with stories. I spent hours absorbing events & emotions of others & came to a bursting point of wanting to create my own identity. At a young age, I started writing songs. It has been the one activity in my life that stops time, & gives me ultimate satisfaction. I was always somehow involved in choirs, theater arts, & shows growing up, but coming to California was the beginning of my career as a singer songwriter. I teamed up with incredible musicians, & was thrust into a wild cyclone of performing coffeehouses & clubs in LA, & writing music. I learned what it takes to be an artist & despite the lack of certainty felt the need to keep on with becoming one. I attended the Musicians Institute to tie up some musical loose ends & graduated in 2008 with a heavy bag of tricks & new songs, including some of which I recorded on my current acoustic CD now available. A lot of heart has been put into it. I hope it will warm you down to your toes. Thanks for listening to the beginning of my story, please stay tuned.
