'The Amazing Bud Powell (Vol. 3)' was originally released in 1957 on Blue Note featuring Paul Chambers on bass, Art Taylor on drums and trombonist Curtis Fuller as guest on three tracks. 'Time Waits' a.k.a. 'The Amazing Bud Powell (Vol. 4)' is also a Rudy Van Gelder session featuring Sam Jones on bass and Philly Joe Jones on drums. 'Buster Rides Again', the album's opener, may be one of his greatest cuts ever. The mid-tempo Afro-Latin groove pushes Powell to playing explosive rhythmic tone clusters, and the energy between Philly Joe and Powell is uncanny. Includes 4 bonus tracks.
