Brighton-based DEATHWISH, along with bands à la Onslaught and Xentrix, was part of the UK's answer to America's emerging Bay Area thrash scene. Featuring high-speed riffing, heavy rhythms, hc influences and sinister lyrical themes, DEATHWISH stood out from the pack, but never really enjoyed the success the band truly deserved. 1988's 'Demon Preacher' was Deathwish's second (and final) album, and it still holds up as a classic of UK thrash metal.
