Ralf Stoney (ex-Stormwitch, ex-Tyran Pace) had an idea for an album in mind for quite some time. In February 2015, he finally put the idea into practice and recruited several musicians to form a new band. His long-time friend Micha Kasper (ex-Stormwitch, ex-Glenmore) was announced as FIRELEAF?s drummer . He met Micha Vetter (ex-Miracle Master, ex-Chinchilla) again at a photo shoot for Stormwitch. Both already played in a band in the past and so Micha was recruited as bassist. In April 2015, Bastian Rose (Vanish) joined the ranks as new vocalist, perfecting the band with his voice. FIRELEAF started working on the debut album and the idea for a concept album, that tells the story about a madman, started to become more precise. The band decided to recruit a second guitarist in September 2015, and Aki Reissmann (ex-Miracle Master, ex-Pump) completed FIRELEAF?s line-up. The debut - mixed and mastered by Andy Horn and to be released in February 2016 - is full of true, hand-made and high-quality power metal! Each song on ?Behind The Mask? is full of power and energy! The powerful, gut-wrenching sound is characterized by guitar riffs, and offers a fundamental basis for the unique voice of the exceptional vocalist Bastian Rose.
