Though power-pop forefathers Big Star were active for just a few short years in the first half of the '70s, the Memphis band has gone on to become one of the most influential names in modern music, with a cult status that only very few can compete with. This 16-track compilation contains songs from the band's three LP's and rare single versions of some of their most popular songs. The LP includes liner notes by Robert Gordon, plus an introduction by the sole surviving member, drummer Jody Stephens.
