The Cocoon was a kind of psychedelic supergroup featuring legendary figures of the German music scene of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s: Gunter Hampel (Birth Records/Galaxie Dream Band/vibraphone, piano, flute, bassclarinet, lead vocals), Jürgen Gleue (39 Clocks/bass, guitar), Matthias Arfmann (Kastrierte Philosophen/guitar, bass organ, electric piano, lead vocals), Rüdiger Klose (Exit Out/Mythen In Tüten/Mint Addicts/drums, vocals) and guest musician Thomas Keyserling (Galaxie Dream Band/Tangerine Dream/Amon Düül/flute, alto saxophone).
