Though Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard may share sonic alliances
with the likes of Conan, Windhand and Yob, the many who tuned
into the band's impressive debut have discovered these guys
don't stick to the usual tropes, and are a unique proposition,
with a sound all their own. Downtuned to Z, the guitar tone is
tar thick while the riffs sound massive and full of hooks... of
course. Due to some swirling moog wig outs, this record also
invokes Hawkwind's cosmic synthscapes, and nods to the John
Carpenter soundtracks that the band love.
