Rewind to the village of Gateshead in 2008, when producer Smoove meets up at his friend's house - keyboard player Mike Porter. Together they are working on tracks and when vocalist John Turrell joins the group, the initial line-up of Smoove & Turrell is born. Their star rises when they sign to Jalapeno Records and tour with Chic. This compilation is comprising of 18 tracks taken from all five of their studio albums as well as two new tunes exclusive to this release - it's a veritable feast of northern funk gems from start to finish.
